We've had a couple of lighter wind days which is both a relief and a challenge. It's difficult to know we're not making progress when the wind is light, and the residual swells from the windy days can toss the boat around even with lesser wind. At one point we motored south just to find more significant wind. Today has been lighter but consistent wind and calmer swells. Temps remain right around 68-70 degrees and don't vary beyond that day or night. Some light rain on and off. We see a few other vessels (cargo ships, tankers) on the screen but only one where we needed to communicate to make sure they saw us while we were busy reefing our main sail. they kindly shifted their course a bit.
Today we got the watermaker up and running, including some troubleshooting mysterious issues. We see Portuguese Man-o-War on the water occasionally, a type of jelly fish about 3-4 inches long with an inflated top that makes it look like a tiny sailboat. Apart from that, no wildlife lately.
