As we are staying longer in Ponta Delgada we took on two more events/tours. First we went to Herdade do Ananas, the pineapple plantation. They grow pineapples sustainably in green houses (this is not a tropical country) and mostly sell them here on the islands. They also make pineapple wine, beer, and liqueur. The next day we took a full day "Hidden Gems" tour to see many beautiful places that are not filled with tourists, or even other people at all. Plus we had a wonderful lunch in a small parish along the way.
