August 14 - Still in Sao Miguel

We've been here on this island for more than a month, which was not our original plan. Caramel has had some health issue arise and we have spent the last 3 weeks getting tests and awaiting results for her. Unfortunately, some of the tests had to be sent to the mainland, which meant waiting. She has Cushing's disease, which can be treated with medication, and we started that yesterday. The dosage needs to be carefully monitored, however, so we're hear until August 25. We're also awaiting her rabies titre, a requirement for bringing her to Morocco. 

This week we will rent a car and spend a couple of days in other parts of the island, beyond the tours we took when we first arrived here. Meanwhile, here are some photos from the past few weeks in Ponta Delgada.
