Survey Finding #35 "The rudder quadrant stops are worn or missing. Auto pilot ram is providing stop.need to be replaced." The starboard rudder stop (on the port side of the boat) was a small block of pine covered with piece of rubber and screwed into place. It did not appear to be the original and split in two when removed. This was replaced this with a larger block of red oak.

After looking at the port rudder stop, it seems to be intact (original). However, the autopilot ram is fully extended. Apparently, the ram does not provide the intended extent of rudder travel. We will need to add a similar block to the rudder stop on the starboard side of the boat.

The starboard is very difficult to access. It is below the propane locker and it will need to wait for now.
