March 28, 2024 Brunswick Landing Marina

We left Great Harbour Cay Monday at 11am, passed Freeport and West End and rode the Gulf Stream with mostly E and SE winds. We had 100-mile stretches on a beam reach or broad reach along our way. We arrived in Brunswick GA (2:30am Thursday). We encountered a range of mostly 2-6ft waves, 10-25kt winds, and mostly 4-9ft swells. Just after the GS we had a few hours of 12-20ft swells. Though daunting, they had a long period between so not as bad as it it could have been (and rather cool visually). We even had a dolphin escort for a few hours after we exited the Gulf Stream. Can't exactly call it "comfortable" throughout and we got bounced around a lot - always a good core workout. We arrived and anchored around 2:30am after about 62 hours travel. We moved to the marina around noon and will hang out here for a week to straighten up things on the boat and do some maintenance tasks.

Already missing the warm temps and beautiful beaches, and yet it's nice to be safely back and headed home.
