December 13, 2023 Darien River

Today we traveled further along the ICW through channels and across St. Catherine's Sound, Sapelo Sound, and Doboy Sound to the entrance to the Darien River. We are anchored, again the only boat in sight. This is Low Country, so it's not like there are a lot of trees to block the wind. It was 12-15 kts gusting to 20+ most of the day, and it will be slightly higher tomorrow. Temps just reaching 60, while it feels much colder in the wind. The sun helps when we have it. Still breezy, but very quiet tonight. I've been out on the deck and bundled up with a blanket to watch for the Geminids Meteor Shower.Â
