We actually ran the heater once or twice after purchasing Veritas. I was aware that the unit an older model and would need servicing. I was familiar with the Espar (Eberspächer) airtronic units and had replaced and learned to service one on Skylark. They are very fuel efficient, safe and within expected service limits reliable.

Unfortunately the unit on Veritas was an older model and although replacement parts are still available they are more expensive. Replacing the heater with a newer model was relatively easy.
