February 15, 2024 Little Harbour, Abaco

We moved on from Lynyard Cay to Little Harbour, Abaco yesterday. It was a short trip with a bit of a white-knuckled, high tide travel through a shallow channel to get into the harbor. All went well, and once inside the harbor we found a mooring and tied up. This area offers the famous Pete's Pub and Gallery. Pete is a master craftsman, sculptor of marine life, and excellent chef. His family established a working bronze foundry here. We hiked to the ruins of a lighthouse and the nearby beaches. Calm in the harbor, I took the SUP around in the mangroves and got a closeup look at a cave. More exploring today, and a marvelous lunch and dinner at Pete's. We'll stay here for a few days till a weather window opens for a passage to Eleuthera.
